Een paar maanden geleden wilde ik proberen of ik mijn harp kon opnemen, zodat de opname hetzelfde zou klinken als hoe de harp in het echt klinkt.
何ヶ月前、ハープの録音が出来るかな？って思った。もちろん、録音に本当の音が聞こえたかった。
A few months ago I wanted to try and record my harp, to see if I could make a recording that sounded exactly like the harp sounds in real life.
Zoom H5 / ズームH5
Als eerste leende ik een Zoom H5. Deze legde ik voor de harp neer.
初めにはズームH5を借りた。ハープの前に置いて録音した。
The first thing I did, was borrow a Zoom H5. I placed it in front of the harp.
Het klonk redelijk, maar nog niet echt zoals de harp in het echt klinkt.
音は大丈夫だったけど、本物のハープとはまだ違う。
It sounded okay, but not exactly like the harp in real life.
Gitaarpickup / ギターのピックアップ / Guitar pickup
Als volgende wilde ik pickups of contactmicrofoons proberen, maar omdat die best prijzig zijn, besloot ik eerst om een goedkope gitaarpickup te proberen (“3-in-1 Piezo Microphone Pickups” van het merk Alomejor).
Omdat je deze wel moest vastplakken en de kabel nogal kort was, besloot ik dat in mijn kleine (goedkopere) harp te proberen.
次はピックアップのマイクで録音をやってみたかった。ピックアップはちょっと高いから、先に安いギターのピックアップ（「Alomejor」のブランド）を買った。
ピックアップは接着剤で付けて、ケーブルも短いし、小さなハープでやってみた。
Next, I wanted to try pickups or contact microphones. I bought guitar pickups, which you have to paste into the soundboard of your instrument, to see if it would also work with a harp.
Because the guitar pickups I bought (“3-in-1 Piezo Microphone Pickups”, brand: Alomejor) weren’t very expensive, they had to pasted on the harp wood, and their cable was quite short, I put them into my smaller 19-string harp.
Dat deze pickups goedkoop zijn, is wel te horen, maar het werkte wel!

It’s quite audible that these are cheap pickups, but it did work!
X48C3
Daarom besloot ik een duurdere contactmicrofoon te kopen, namelijk de X48C3 van Ischell (uit Frankrijk). De Camac-winkel in Rotterdam raadde de Ischell-microfoons aan, dus dit heb ik als eerste geprobeerd.
オランダのロッテルダムにあるカマック・ハープのお店は「Ischellが良い」って言ったから、高いコンタクトマイクを買った：フランスのIschellが作った「X48C3」。
That’s why I decided to buy a more expensive contact microphone: the X48C3 from Ischell (in France). The Camac harp store in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) recommended the Ischell microphones, so I tried this one first.
Hetzelfde liedje heb ik opgenomen met de Ischell X48C3.

I recorded the same song with the Ischell X48C3.
Zowel de opname van de gitaarpickup als de opname van de X48C3 hierboven waren gemaakt door de microfoon via een oude externe geluidskaart (Creative SoundBlaster SB0270) in de computer te prikken.
Dat was niet de meest ideale opname-opstelling, dus vervolgens heb ik de X48C3 aan de Zoom LiveTrak L-8 verbonden met een XLR-kabel. De LiveTrak L-8 kan automatisch opnemen zodra je begint te spelen, wat veel makkelijker is.
De opname klinkt dan ook weer net iets beter en de L-8 geeft je iets meer controle over hoe je de lage/midden/hoge tonen opneemt.
ギターのピックアップの録音も、X48C3の録音も古いサウンドカード(Creative SoundBlaster SB0270)でコンピュータに録音をした。そんなに便利じゃなかったから、次の録音でズームLiveTrak L-8とXLRケーブルでやってみた。LiveTrak L-8はマイクが音が「聞こえる」時に自動で録音を始めることが出来る！
音質はもうちょっと良くなって、低・中・高い音のバランス調整が簡単に行える。
Both the guitar pickup recording and the X48C3 recording above were made by connecting the microphone to an external soundcard (Creative SoundBlaster SB0270) to the computer. That wasn’t the most ideal recording set-up, so for my next recording session, I connected the X48C3 to the Zoom LiveTrak L-8 with an XLR-cable. The LiveTrak L-8 can start recording automatically as soon as you start playing, which is much easier.
The recording sounds better again and the L-8 also gives you more control over the low/mid/high tones when recording.
Dit klinkt al goed genoeg om bijvoorbeeld live mee te kunnen spelen, maar het klinkt nog niet zoals de harp echt klinkt als je er met je eigen oren naar luistert.
ライブに、これで良い！
でも、まだ「本物のハープ音」とちょっと違う。
This already sounds good enough for playing live, but it still doesn’t sound exactly like the harp as it does when you hear it with your own ears.
Zoom H5 & X48C3
Als je meerdere microfoons met dezelfde specificaties gebruikt, wordt het geluid van je opname harder ten opzichte van de ruis (dus je signal-to-noise ratio gaat naar beneden).
Als je microfoons met verschillende karakteristieken gebruikt bij het opnemen, wordt de opname beter, omdat je meerdere verschillende frequenties opneemt. Bij de harp wilde ik dat ook proberen, dus leende ik de Zoom H5 nog een keer.
Nu legde ik deze echter binnenin de klankkast (en had ik ‘m ook met een XLR-kabel aan de Zoom LiveTrak L-8 geprikt, zodat beide microfoons exact tegelijk konden opnemen).
複数の同じスペックのマイクを使ったら、録音の音で騒音が下がる（S/N比が下がる）。
違うスペックのマイクを使ったら、録音がもっと良くなる（もっと沢山の周波数を録音するから）。ハープでもやってみたかったから、またズームH5を借りた。今はズームをハープの中に入れて録音した。
If you use multiple microphones with the same specifications, the sound of your recording becomes louder compared to the noise (so your signal-to-noise ratio goes down).
If you use microphones with different characteristics when recording, the recording improves, because you’re recording more different frequencies. I also wanted to try this with the harp, so I borrowed the Zoom H5 again. I now put it inside the harp’s soundboard.

Dat klonk al beter, dus de conclusie was inderdaad dat ik een tweede en een derde microfoon wilde, die allemaal net andere specificaties voor de frequentierespons hebben.
またもうちょっと良くなった！やっぱり、他のマイクが必要。
That already sounded better, so the conclusion was that I indeed wanted a second and third microphone, all with slightly different specifications for the frequency response.
X48C2
Ik besloot een Ischell X48C2 contactmicrofoon toe te voegen op de klankkast.
次は「Ischell X48C2」のコンタクトマイクを買った。
I decided the add an Ischell X48C2 contact microphone to the soundboard.

Nu klinkt het bijna zoals de harp in het echt klinkt. Het enige dat het nog zou kunnen verbeteren, zou een “aerial microphone” zijn die het effect van de ruimte opneemt (dus geen contactmicrofoon).
録音は「本当の音」に近づいた！「空気マイク」も使ったら、部屋のエフェクトも録音出来る。
Now it sounds almost like the harp in real life. The only thing that could still improve it, would be an “aerial microphone” which records the effect of the surroundings (so, no contact microphone).

Als je dit afluistert op Sennheiser IE 100 Pro in-ear wireless monitors (via de bluetooth-verbinding) klinkt het exact zoals mijn harp klinkt als je ernaast zou staan. Als je 1 van de twee contactmicrofoons eruit haalt, klinkt het net anders. Dus voor de harp wil je inderdaad twee contactmicrofoons en 1 aerial microfoon.
Je moet wel voorzichtig zijn met de Ischell-microfoons, je wil er bijvoorbeeld niet hard in niesen.
ゼンハイザーIE 100 PROインイヤーモニター（Bluetooth）でこの録音をに聞いたら、本当にハープの隣でいる感じがする。１つのコンタクトマイクも使わなかったら、音がまた違うになる。
だからハープの録音がしたかったら、コンタクトマイク２つと「空気マイク」１つが欲しい。
でも、Ischellのマイクに気をつけて：マイクに嚔をするのは良くない（他のマイクでもそうと思う！）。
When you listen to this recording with the Sennheiser IE 100 Pro in-ear wireless monitors (using the bluetooth connection) it sounds exactly like the way my harp sounds when you’re standing next to it. If you remove one of the two contact microphones, it sounds slightly different. So for recording the harp, you indeed want two contact microphones and one aerial microphone.
You do have to be carefull with the Ischell microphones, for example you don’t want to sneeze loudly into the microphones.

Rode NT5
De volgende video (“Tabi no tochuu”) heb ik eerst met de drie Ischell-microfoons opgenomen, en daarna ook met drie Rode NT5-microfoons erbij.
次のビデオ（「旅の途中」）は3つのIschellマイクで録音して、その後も3つのRode NT5のマイクと一緒に録音した。
The next video (“Tabi no tochuu”) I first recorded with the three Ischell microphones. Then I also recorded a version in which I added three Rode NT5 microphones.
